Why is prayer important?
You may be actively involved in a prayer ministry in your local church, but you may not know other ways your prayers can reach out to the lost. The GGR Prayer Ministry Team will enable you to put your prayers into practice by visiting with and praying for those in need. This ministry will give you the opportunity to minister to others who may not be near home, or may not be a Christian. Your prayers may be the first step for many to come to know the love and forgiveness of the Lord.
The Gorge Gospel Riders Prayer Team
The purpose of the GGR Prayer Ministry Team is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the Gorge Gospel Riders. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God’s love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory. Some guidelines for this team are:
- The team will be accountable to the chapter leadership
- Membership should be a response to a desire to pray for the chpater, its members and with the people we may come into contact with, both individually and corporately.
- The team will seek to be open and responsive to the Holy Spirit in prayer.
- Prayer support will be provided for the team by the chapter.
- Training will be provided as available and appropriate.
