Proper Cornering
Don’t Ride it like your in a Lazy Boy recliner.
10 Steps to proper cornering
1. Reposition the inside foot
- Be on the ball of your foot for maximum leverage
2. Preposition body
- Put your body in position for the middle of the corner, BEFOR the corner even starts
- Your body centerline needs to be inside of the bike centerline
3. Push on the outside grip
- Keep the bike from falling into the turn by forming a “V” position
- Pre loads the bike into wanting to turn
4. Locate the turn point
- Choose the specific point where you will initiate your turn
5. Look through the turn
6. Relax the outside grip
- Gravity and aerodynamics pull the bike into the turn
7. Push on the inside grip
- Simultaneously with step 6
- Once in the turn use only the inside arm to steer �
8. Roll on the throttle
- Gently apply as early as possible
- Maintain body centerline in side the bike centerline
9. Push outside grip
- Push both together to help throttle pick up the bike
- Maintain the “V” position
10. Move back to neutral
- only after the bike is completely vertical
